The Reserve Bank of Australia started circulating its new 10-dollar note on Wednesday (September 20) featuring anti-fraud technology.
In a bid to prevent counterfeiting, the new note has a transparent window across the middle, a patch with a rolling colour effect and fluorescent ink.
The vision-impaired have also been considered with tactile features to help identify the note's value. Images of the writers Dame Mary Gilmore and Banjo Paterson, as were on the previous 10-dollar note, remain.
The next Australian piece of currency in line to be given a makeover is the 50-dollar note, according to local media.
