Uzreport TV to broadcast Paralympic Games
UzReport TV channel was granted exclusive media and commercial rights to live-stream Paralympic games scheduled for August 24-September 5 this year. Following a new cooperation agreement with the republic’s Paralympic Committee, the channel is soon live stream not only Paralympics and other major tournaments, but local competitions until 2031.
Sharifjon Muminjonov, Deputy Chairman of the Paralympic Committee of Uzbekistan said:
From now on, the performances of our athletes will be easily accessible via broadcasts on UzReport TV as the channel receives exclusive rights to cover these events. For the first time in Uzbekistan’s history, the Paralympic Games will be broadcast live. Let’s have a flashback – before nobody had an opportunity to watch live the 2008 Paralympics in Beijing, the 2012 Games in London, and the Rio 2016 Paralympics.
Uzbek athletes received 55 licenses allowing them to partake at the 16th Summer Paralympic Games and perform in various sports including long and high jumps, shooting, throwing, javelin, parasailing, etc. So far, international sports event has attracted 4.4 thousand athletes with the record number of 1.7 thousand female participants.
